General English
Grammar
English grammar digest - Trudy Aronson - Prentice Hall (all sections)
Understanding and using English grammar - Betty Schrampfer Azar - Pearson Education (all sections)
How to prepare for the TOEFL - Pamela Sharpe - Barron's Educational Series (Review of structure)
* The first and the third references are the best ones among these three. the first reference covers almost all important grammatical points. the third reference touches a number of important and problematic points about grammar, but does not try to teach grammar from scratch. the second reference starts from the very basics of grammar and although it is a highly valuable book for learning grammar it has less priority for your MA exam.
Vocabulary
1100 words you need to know - Murray Bromberg & Gordon - Barron's Educational Series (all)
Vocabulary for the College-Bound student - Harold Levine and Norman Levine and Robert Levine - AMSCO School Publications (all - especially the first 5 chapters)
Vocabulary for the high school students - Harold Levine and Norman Levine and Robert Levine - AMSCO School Publications (all)
Essential Words for the GRE - Philip Geer - Barron's Educational Series (all)
* The first and the second references are the most informative ones for your MA exam. The third reference is another good reference besides the first one and actually complements it, but it is not very urgent to study. Between the second and the fourth references you may choose just one and there is no need to cover them both simultaneously; however, the former is a more useful one.
Reading

* For the reading section, any book trying to teach IELTS reading skills is satisfactory. Different publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Pearson Longman, and many others have offered good sources in this respect.
